Rose reacts to Scott's departure

At one point Chad Scott was to be A.J. Rose's position coach at Kentucky. His departure for North Carolina came as a surprise to Rose. But will he waver?

No, Rose said on Tuesday. The three-star running back commitment for Kentucky promptly shot down any speculation that he might waver, confirming to Cats Illustrated that he's still solid with the Cats.

"I was shocked because me and Coach Scott were building a good relationship," Rose said. "And he's a great guy and coach. But him leaving is his choice and I wish coach the best at wherever he goes. I'm going to still keep in contact with him if I can. That's my boy."

Rose was recently visited by another coach that was to succeed Scott in the running backs coach position.

"Coach (Eddie) Gran came up to my school and talked to me," Rose said. "He talked a little about the offense. We were getting to know each other more so. Most of the talk was about me and him."
