Top 30 player from 2017 visits

Paul Scruggs made his second visit to Lexington Wednesday evening. The 2017 four-star point guard watched Kentucky's blowout win over Missouri.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Indianapolis native also visited UK over the summer.

"The visit was good," Scruggs' Indy Hoosiers AAU coach Mike Peterson said. "It was a late game so we got out early. Tony Barbee is showing a lot of interest in Paul and Paul really likes UK."

The Cats haven't offered Scruggs, although several programs have extended a scholarship, including Indiana, Michigan State, Purdue and Kansas.

UK has offered just one point guard in 2017, Trae Young, but Scruggs seems to be a priority to Kentucky.

UK won 88-54 over the Tigers and although it was a quick trip Tony Barbee made an effort to talk to Scruggs.

"We had to leave early but Barbee briefly talked to us at halftime," Peterson said. "But we'll be back when a game isn't so late."

Scruggs is also AAU teammates with fellow Indianapolis native Kris Wilkes, one of UK's top targets in 2017. Wilkes does have an offer and visited over the summer with Scruggs.

Wilkes also visited UK for Big Blue Madness. Neither Scruggs or Wilkes are in a rush to make a college decision.
